404 Production's A Christmas Carol was adapted for the stage by Kayleigh Benham, our Young Associate Writer. Over the last two years Kayleigh has received mentor-ship from playwright Matt Beames, with whom she co-wrote Journey to the Centre of the Earth which went on it's first UK tour this Spring.
Kayleigh also wrote the lyrics for last years production of Cinderella at Royal Victoria Country Park, and three of her short stories were made into films by the 404 Young Company earlier this year.

"Our version of A Christmas Carol is really exciting because it brings the Dickensian story into the new technological world, all without losing the well known and loved elements of the original story. It has given me the opportunity to create new unique characters with their own personalities whilst getting to write original characters I love so much.
This is my first script without Matt as a co-writer, but still very much as my lovely mentor. He has had an entirely supportive approach, offering to help as little or as much as I need, and as much as a first independent script is scary, I have his advice and knowledge as a guide whenever a challenge arises, whilst still knowing what has been written is entirely my own. Everything up until now has been bursting with excitement and energy, and I am certain 'A Christmas Carol' will live up to 404's charismatic personality as well."
