Following the success of last years production of Cinderella at Netley Chapel, 404 Productions are teaming up with Royal Victoria Country Park once again to breathe fresh life into Charles Dickens’ much loved Christmas classic.
Whilst filming a Holiday Special edition of their popular TV show ‘Dead Haunted’, a team of ghost hunters attempt to summon the spirit of Charles Dickens for a retelling of his famous ghostly tale. Instead, they find themselves wrapped up in the vibrant story itself, discovering that after 176 years the most cold-hearted, tight-fisted character to have ever been created can still teach us the true meaning of Christmas.
Join the crew as you are transported from the surroundings of Netley Chapel into Victorian London for a thrilling theatrical adventure bursting with music, laughter and enough Christmas cheer to see you through to next year!
This live theatre production blends dynamic ensemble storytelling with digital technology to create an exciting mixed media experience; Audience members will be given headphones which will be worn throughout the performance.

404 Production's A Christmas Carol has been adapted for the stage by Kayleigh Benham, our Young Associate Writer. Over the last two years Kayleigh has received mentor-ship from playwright Matt Beames, with whom she co-wrote Journey to the Centre of the Earth which went on it's first UK tour this Spring.
"Our version of A Christmas Carol is really exciting because it brings the Dickensian story into the new technological world, all without losing the well known and loved elements of the original story. It has given me the opportunity to create new unique characters with their own personalities whilst getting to write original characters I love so much.
This is my first script without Matt as a co-writer, but still very much as my lovely mentor. He has had an entirely supportive approach, offering to help as little or as much as I need, and as much as a first independent script is scary, I have his advice and knowledge as a guide whenever a challenge arises, whilst still knowing what has been written is entirely my own. Everything up until now has been bursting with excitement and energy, and I am certain 'A Christmas Carol' will live up to 404's charismatic personality as well."
