404 Productions is looking for enthusiastic professionals to join us as we start work on our first production, a new family theatre adaptation of Jules Verne’s classic story Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
The first stage of our creative journey will be a residential retreat from 27th - 29th April 2018 in the New Forest; an intensive weekend of play and development, exploring the text and themes of the book, exploring ideas for staging and playing with technology to discover what the shape of our new show will take. We are currently looking for creatives to take part in this weekend as well as help us build a network of creatives who want to support this adventure and our future projects.
All our projects involve working alongside and nurturing young people, and so we are looking for professionals who believe in the idea of collaborative play and are excited by the prospect of working alongside young aspiring artists at every stage of the creative process. Whilst we are unable to offer payment to participants of this early stage of the process, 404 Productions will cover all travel expenses and food and accommodation for the weekend. Due to working alongside young people, participants will also need to undergo a DBS check prior to their involvement.
Led by 404 Productions Artistic Director Daniel Hill, the weekend will be an active and enjoyable way to meet and work with likeminded people and help contribute at the conceptual stage to a new family production.
"Putting young people and professionals in a room together on equal footing is what 404 productions is all about, to be able to bring people together at the genesis of our next project is very exciting"
Places are limited, if you wish to get involved please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 6th April 2018, stating why it is you are interested in taking part in this project.
