Gerda must travel far beyond the land she calls home to rescue her friend and put an end to the Snow Queen’s reign, battling ice warriors, outsmarting enchantresses and befriending robbers and reindeer along the way.
A story of hope sprung from the innocence of love, this magical tale full of adventure, mystery and magic is the perfect holiday treat for the whole family.
The 404 Collective once again transform The Royal Victoria Chapel into a place of stories and wonder, using puppetry, original songs and dynamic staging to bring one of Anderson’s classics to the stage.

The situation surrounding COVID-19 is of course changing all the time, but The 404 Collective are working hard to ensure the tale of The Snow Queen can be told. The production team are reviewing Government guidance regularly and amending plans as necessary when the guidelines change. Should more restrictive safety measures be put in place on the dates of performance, the production will continue as a live streamed/pre-recorded performance exclusively for ticket holders.

to keep everyone safe.
During these strange and difficult times, we are committed to ensuring the safety of our audience, performers and staff. We have put a number of COVID-safety measures in place, following Government guidance for theatre attendance at all times, to enable you to enjoy the adventure safely:
The Chapel allows for a socially-distanced audience ensuring a 1m-plus space between parties
Temperature checks will be carried out at point of entry
E-tickets will be issued. These do not have to be printed but can be shown on your smartphone or similar device
You will be given a specific arrival time with an assigned door number to avoid crowding and queuing
Face coverings are required unless exempt for health reasons. Our Front of House and Tech Team will also wear face coverings
Booking bubbles seated in groups of 1 to 6
Contact details are collected during the booking process to support NHS Test and Trace
We will carry out enhanced cleaning of the chapel between performances
Hand sanitising stations are positioned throughout the building
Refreshment transactions will be contactless and cashless
Additional signage will be in place to manage social distancing and audience flow
These measures will be constantly reviewed and updated in line with Government guidelines.
